Why does the hook at the tip of the tape slide?
That is intentional: it moves exactly by its own thickness so that inside and outside measurements are equally accurate.
Is the tape readable on both sides?
The scale is printed large and legible, with marks every 10 cm for quick reading.
5m or 3m, which one should I get?
For home use 3 m is enough; for craftsmen and construction 5 m is the standard. You can find both at our shop.
